Media Release: Top employer awards for epilepsy

DOES your employer go that ‘extra mile’ for people with epilepsy working in your organisation

Tell us about practical things done to make sure epilepsy is not a barrier in the workplace and our Employer of the Year award could be yours!

Epilepsy Scotland is looking for the Scottish workplace, large or small, whose support is second to none. Help us find employers who are tops for epilepsy care. We also offer every organisation in Scotland a free best practice certificate for doing the right things to help someone with epilepsy into work and for developing their skills.

Simply tick a checklist to confirm current Equality Act guidelines are being followed and display it for your workforce.

Both employees and employers can propose their organisation for a best practice certificate (available all year round) and for the award until its closing date of 26 March.

It coincides with International Purple Day – a fun day for workplaces to raise epilepsy awareness.

The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing, Alex Neil MSP, will nationally recognise the winners and present their awards on 25 April.
