Voting for Scottish Baker of the Year 2013 closes at 5pm on 13th March

HAVE you been into your local bakery during the last few weeks? If you have, you will have noticed that the search is on for Scotland’s best bakers.

Up and down the country, bakers are doing everything they can to win your vote.

Thousands of votes have already been cast with customers letting us know who they think makes the best looking, freshest, tastiest and best value morning rolls, scones, small cakes, savouries, biscuits and breads.

The winners of each product category will be automatically considered for the ultimate accolade, Scottish Baker of the Year.

TV judge and artisan baker, Paul Hollywood, who is backing the competition, said: “I have visited a number of high street bakers in Scotland and I am really impressed with the standard of baking as well as the creativity and flair some of these bakers demonstrate daily.

“I would encourage every shopper in Scotland to go and sample the products your local baker is creating and recognise the skill and expertise of these businesses by voting.”

If you want to vote, simply visit www.scottishbakers.org/scottishbakeroftheyear or pop into your local baker to pick up an entry form to enter your favourite baker and register your votes.

All voters will be entered into a free prize draw to win an iPad, one for each category, there are six on offer!

Vote now for your chance to win and to make sure your local baker is entered into the SCOTTISH BAKER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION.
