A COUPLE of best-selling Scottish crime writers are coming to The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns for its latest series of popular author book-signing sessions.

Waterstones brings author Alex Gray to discuss her work at Primavera Bistro on Wednesday 27th March from 7pm – 8.30pm.

Says a spokesperson: “The Swedish Girl, the brand new page-turning Detective Lorimer novel from Alex Gray, evokes Glasgow like no other writer can.

“In this gripping read, Alex Gray sends her dynamic Scottish detective from the gritty heart of Glasgow to the snowy streets of Stockholm in his toughest case yet.”

And Waterstones brings Gordon Ferris to Primavera Bistro on Wednesday 3th April from 7pm – 8.30pm to launch Pilgrim Soul, the third instalment in the Douglas Brodie series.

Set in 1947 and the worst winter in memory: Glasgow is buried in snow, killers stalk the streets – and Douglas Brodie’s past is engulfing him. Pilgrim Soul is a fascinating read.

Free tickets are now available for both author book-signing events from Waterstones and Primavera.

The Avenue Shopping Centre, managed by commercial property consultancy BTWShiells, offers shoppers an alternative to sprawling trolley-dash shopping culture with a comprehensive range of outlets offering a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
