Media Release: Bell Ingram makes ESTAs award shortlist

BELL Ingram’s Oban office has been shortlisted for a prestigious award after a successful year within its lettings and sales departments.

Thanks to its commitment to client service, the firm has been shortlisted in the Lettings and Agency category of the tenth annual Estate and Letting Agent Awards (ESTAS) which is the only awards programme specifically for estate agents and voted for by clients.

Steven Hornby, senior estate agent at the Oban Bell Ingram office, said: “This is the fourth time we’ve been shortlisted which is an absolute merit to Bell Ingram as the judges are the clients so being nominated can have a massive impact on the way potential clients will view us.

“We’ve been shortlisted twice previous and in 2011 our sales division won a bronze award which was a massive honour to the performance of the team here in Oban.

“Reading positive messages and feedback from our clients is a really rewarding experience and is a big boost for staff morale because it indicates which areas we are performing best in.”

Entering the ESTAS and to be within the chance of being shortlisted involves writing to clients and requesting their participation in a detailed questionnaire of 11-15 questions which rates the agent on the level of customer service it is providing.

Steven adds: “Entering the awards is quite labour intensive which emphasises our dedication to providing a high standard of customer services as we want to be in a position to review which areas within our services excel and what we could improve on.

“Another fantastic year for us as again we’ve beaten last year’s figures in our sales and lettings divisions. The number of questionnaires submitted is higher than last year which instantly demonstrates a strong relationship with our clients for them to willing to dedicate their time to fill it out.

“Ultimately, the judges are our customers and our success isn’t based on trying to impress a panel of industry experts, or how well we write a submission, or answer questions in a telephone interview, but rely on the things agents do every day for their clients and customers.

“Being shortlisted in the awards alone demonstrates credibility as they aren’t based on how well we impress a panel of industry experts or write a submission but about the things we do day to day for clients and customers.

“To be nominated in the ESTAs is a fantastic way to increase client loyalty, attract new clients, motivate staff and find out what clients think about our services and we hope our services excelled last years to win us a silver or gold award.”

The tenth annual ESTAS ceremony will take place on the 19th April at the Park Lane Hilton and will be presented by celebrity property expert Phil Spencer.
