ABERDEENSHIRE-based oil services firm, ThinJack, is to showcase its leading technology to current and prospective clients through two open days in 2013.

On June 5th and 7th, between 10 am and 12 noon, the company will demonstrate its unique technology at the premises of Subsea Technologies Ltd in Aberdeen, giving visitors the opportunity to see ThinJack’s service in action.

ThinJack specialises in the rigless separation of seized or stuck well flanges. The service uses patented millimetric-thin steel envelopes which are inflated with up to 2,500 bar of hydraulic pressure to exert hundreds of tonnes of force.

ThinJack deploys specialist equipment and highly trained technicians anywhere in the world at short notice to separate wellhead flanges which are seized and causing costly delays during well workovers.

The unique ThinJack service is a safe and fast solution for separating and jacking in hazardous, difficult or restricted areas.

Commenting on the forthcoming open days, ThinJack director, Guy Bromby, said: “Whilst we expand ThinJack’s global track record, there are industry colleagues who remain unaware that this is this is the most powerful well flange separation service, that fits into the thinnest of gaps.

“It enables separation of seized well flanges without drilling rigs or powerful cranes, in a safe and efficient way. Inviting people to see first-hand what we do will be a once in a lifetime opportunity, in a workshop onshore.”

Director, Alastair MacDonald, added: “If you have never seen the tremendous force generated by hydraulically inflating steel balloons, then this is your opportunity.”

ThinJack is headed by Guy Bromby andAlastair MacDonaldand is based at Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

The company currently employs six staff at Westhill, one in Australia and additional trained field technicians from overseas bases at Al Khobar inSaudi Arabia, Houston inTexasand Luling inLouisiana,USA.
