Media Release: Scotty Brand’s Brave campaign wins gold at Marketing Society Star Awards Scotland


SCOTTY Brand, the umbrella brand for premium seasonal Scottish produce, has won a top award at the Marketing Society Awards for a brand tie-up with Disney-Pixar.

Scotty Brand and Billington Cartmell’s ‘Bravely Building Scotty Brand with an Epic Partnership’ campaign won the Marketing Society Star Award’s integrated marketing category.

The award was in recognition for the innovative collaboration with the Oscar-winning movie, Brave, which included on-pack promotions, competitions, VIP screenings, discount vouchers and mobile downloads.

Says a spokesperson: “Set in the Scottish Highlands, the movie echoed Scotty Brand’s values of heritage, honesty and tradition and for a Scottish brand fiercely proud of its provenance; the animated film, Brave, had immediate partnership potential for Scotty Brand.”

Scotty Brand’s marketing manager, Michael Jarvis, who collected the award at the ceremony in Glasgow on Thursday 6th June, said: “With over 60 per cent of shopper’s decision made in store, and the fresh aisle being largely unbranded territory, an on-pack takeover was the winning ingredient in securing 565 per cent sales uplift and 56 per cent partnership awareness.”

The Scotty Brand / Billington Cartmell Brave marketing campaign was also awarded silver in the Food and Drink category. While Scotty Brand’s marketing manager, Michael Jarvis, was a finalist in the prestigious Marketing Star of the Year Category.
