LEADING independent accountancy firm, French Duncan, has appointed Alan Dalziel as marketing and business development director as it continues to drive forward its expansion agenda and realise its aim to become its clients’ premier advisor.
With more than 25 years of experience across the marketing spectrum, covering advertising, sales promotion, design, online, brand and business development, Dalziel has spent the last six years as business development manager at a national accountancy practice, where he was responsible for the development, implementation and support of key sales and marketing strategies and initiatives for the region.
Commenting on his appointment, Dalziel said: “I’m delighted to join such a dynamic and ambitious operation as French Duncan where my role will encompass business development, marketing, sales, client service, key account management, events, design, marketing communications, coaching and professional mentoring.
“French Duncan is already one of the most dynamic and fastest growing accountancy firms in Scotland and the last year has seen its profile continue to grow as it continues to strengthen its offering to clients and its skill-base; my aim is to further accelerate this growth into new markets.”
French Duncan’s managing partner, Graeme Finnie, added: “I have known Alan for a number of years and have also had the pleasure of working with him before. He has always proven himself to be extremely adept at unlocking routes to market and securing new business opportunities through adding value to clients and bringing creative ideas.
“Alan will play a central role in furthering French Duncan’s positioning in the marketplace as the premier independent practice in Scotland and assist in the broader recognition of French Duncan as the best full service indigenous Scottish practice for both clients and staff.”
With a combined fee income of £10 million, nearly 200 employees and a network of eight offices spanning Scotland’s Central Belt, French Duncan is one of the largest mid-tier accountancy practices in Scotland.
