IT might have been adding value since 1880, making Shepherd Chartered Surveyors one of Scotland’s oldest surveying practices, but the firm is clearly no slouch when it comes to the adoption of new technology if it means giving its clients a superior service.
Shepherd has quickly established itself as the highest Scottish user of a pioneering new iPad app, with over 8,000 page hits in just four months.
The CoStarGo app enables Shepherd surveyors to access comprehensive commercial real estate property, tenant and transaction data all in one integrated mobile interface.
Steve Barnett, Shepherd commercial partner in Glasgow, said: “The app gives our surveyors access to a wide range of information at their fingertips, including high-res building and floor plan images and in-depth detail. They can instantly view buildings, access saved surveys and email reports from wherever they are.
“It also allows our surveyors to connect instantly with landlords, leasing agents, clients and prospects using email or FaceTime. The iPad app is just the latest example of our early adoption of new technology which has kept us at the cutting edge of the dynamic property sector since 1880.”
Originating in Scotland, with a network of offices and surveyors across the UK, Shepherd offers a multi-disciplinary property service encompassing a comprehensive range of residential and commercial services, including: Home Reports; valuation; development advice; corporate recovery; restructuring; commercial property asset management; agency services; building surveying; Energy Performance Certificates and renewables.
