Media Release: Fleet Alliance voted one of the best places to work in the UK

GPtWUKAwards (3)

LEASING and fleet management specialist, Fleet Alliance, is officially one of the TOP five best places to work in the UK, it was announced in London last night (Wednesday 12 June 2013) – following the results of an independent survey by the Great Place to Work Institute.

After 97 per cent of its staff voted it a ‘Great Place to Work’, the company, which operates nationally from a head office in Glasgow, finished a very creditable fifth out of the top 25 of the best places to work in the UK in a shortlist which included a ‘who’s who’ of global brands.

This UK award comes hot on the heels of Fleet Alliance’s recent success which saw it crowned the Best Company to Work at in Scotland (also presided over by the Great Place to Work Institute).

Fleet Alliance MD, Martin Brown, who collected the UK award at a glittering ceremony held in The Pavilion, Tower of London, said: “The Institute rates a great workplace as one where employees trust the people they work for, have pride in the work they do, and enjoy the people they work with, so it is extremely gratifying, based on those criteria, to come in the top 25 and I couldn’t be prouder of my team – this award really belongs to them.

“In the past 12 months, 96 per cent of our orders were delivered successfully, with 100 per cent customer satisfaction.

“This would not happen without a fully-motivated, happy and engaged team of people and it is only because of their positive attitude, commitment and hard work that we are bucking the economic trend and are on track for our fourth consecutive year of record growth, in terms of both turnover and profitability.”

Fleet Alliance is also in line for further accolades this summer as it has also been shortlisted as Employer of the Year in the Scottish Business Awards, the results of which will be announced on June 21.

In participating in this year’s Best Places to Work survey, Fleet Alliance staff took part in confidential and anonymous interviews with researchers from the Great Place to Work Institute.

They answered a series of questions in an employee Trust Index survey about the standard and quality of their workplace covering areas such as credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
