BRIAN Milne and Eileen Blackburn, partners in the business recovery and insolvency division of leading mid-tier accountancy firm French Duncan, have been appointed joint administrators of Sanstef Limited.

Says a spokesperson: “Sanstef traded as Paperinos @78, an Italian restaurant at 78 St Vincent Street, Glasgow. Sanstef directors are brothers Stefano and Sandro Giovanazzi, who opened Paperino’s@78 in 2009, coinciding with the 75th birthday of Walt Disney’s Donald Duck, from which the restaurant derived its name.”

Brian Milne said: “Our enquiries are at a preliminary stage; however, it’s clear that, despite the directors’ best efforts, the restaurant has struggled in recent months due to depressed market conditions and intense competition in the local area.”

Whilst Paperinos @78 has now closed, sister restaurant, Paperino’s West End, based in Byres Road, remains open for business and is unaffected by the administration.
