Former Old Firm duo to take to stage for night of debate, banter and entertainment at latest Superscoreboard Unleashed event hosted by Clyde 1

Friday 22nd November at the O2 ABC Glasgow

THEY combined to lead Scotland to one of their most famous victories – and now former Old Firm pair, Alex McLeish and Paul Hartley, are back on the same team sheet … for one night only.

The one-time Rangers manager and ex-Celtic midfielder will present a united front when they gather in Glasgow later this month as special guests at the latest Superscoreboard Unleashed event with Clyde 1.

Former Scotland manager, McLeish, capped Hartley – now in charge at Alloa Athletic – during his time as national team boss, the pair combining most famously when defeating France 1-0 in Paris.

They were also in direct opposition when McLeish was first team manager at Rangers and Hartley was starring in the Hearts midfield, ‘Big Eck’ gaining the upper hand with seven victories in 12 games.

A packed crowd at the city’s O2 ABC this Friday November 22 will hear all these memories and more plus each player’s ‘dream team’ when Superscoreboard Unleashed returns to Glasgow.

It follows the success of the inaugural event in September when a capacity crowd heard from Old Firm rivals, John Hartson and Alex Rae.

Ahead of the show, Hartley commented: “It will be great to be back on the panel with my old gaffer.”

Led by show host Jim Delahunt, alongside the inimitable Hugh Keevins, Mark Guidi and Gordon Dalziel, Unleashed will be a pacey, football entertainment show with all the usual uncensored views but with extra light-hearted sketches from Superscoreboard’s biggest personalities.

Fans can also expect interactive ways to get involved in the live debate both before and during the show, hilarious games to win great prizes and lots of other surprises throughout the night. And they’ll also get a free half-time pie courtesy of McGhee’s Bakery.

Jim Delahunt, Clyde 1 Superscoreboard host, said: “I’ve been speaking to Alex and know he can’t wait to get stuck in to the debate.

“After the success of Superscoreboard Unleashed back in September, this is another top line-up with both Alex and Paul set to give a fascinating insight to the secrets behind their many successes, as well as offering their honest views on the issues of today.

“It promises to be another cracking night and with tickets going fast I’d urge people to snap theirs up soon to avoid disappointment.”

Lorraine Herbison, head of news and sport at Bauer Radio Scotland, added: “Superscoreboard Unleashed is going from strength to strength and our latest line-up backs up our commitment to bringing some of the biggest characters in Scottish football to our listeners. On Friday November 22, Alex and Paul are definitely the match of the day!”

Ticket prices start from £18 and can be purchased from ticketweb.co.uk or by calling 0844 477 2000. Or alternatively, you can pick them up in person from the O2 ABC box office.
