AN Aberdeenshire lingerie boutique is hosting a special charity night to raise funds for a loyal customer who is battling with cancer.
De-Zire, based in Inverurie, is hosting a ‘Cancer is Pants’ party at the shop on Thursday 28 November for brave customer, Leighanne Easton, 26, who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour.
The lingerie boutique, run by North-east businesswoman, Susan Evans, has teamed up with North-east restaurant, The Courtyard and bar, 10 Dollar Shake, who will provide canapés and drinks for the evening, with all the money raised being donated to Leighanne and her family.
Leighanne, who lives locally in Premnay, Aberdeenshire, was diagnosed with a tumour in July this year, and has since compiled a ‘bucket list’ of things she would like to complete before she gets too ill.
Susan became close friends with Leighanne, after several visits to the lingerie boutique.
Boutique owner, Ms Evans, said: “Since meeting Leighanne, we have become close friends and after hearing about her illness I felt compelled to try and raise money for her and her family.
“This event will be fun for all, with music, food, drinks, raffle prizes and importantly every penny raised will go to Leighanne.
“De-Zire has a passion for making customers comfortable throughout their visits to the store and I now have many customers who are close friends, after coming in to buy some lingerie.”
Leighanne Easton said: “Susan is a wonderful and caring person and since walking into the shop she has been a fantastic friend to myself and my family.
“I would like to thank Susan and everyone else involved for all their support and effort for organising this event, which I am really looking forward too.”
The evening will take place in De-Zire’s store from 6pm, with tickets for the event costing £20, which includes food and drinks for the night.
Tickets bought direct for De-Zire on 01467 670835.
