IN another sharp move, demonstrating its commitment to expansion, Perth-based The Inveralmond Brewery announced that Phil Kilpatrick, has been appointed to the role of business development manager with specific responsibility for developing craft keg sales.

Kilpatrick has considerable brewing pedigree with major FMCG brands including Magners, Kopparberg and Budweiser already feathers in his cap, and managing director, Fergus Clarkm is excited about his approach:

“Phil brings a wealth of experience and understanding to this emerging strategic growth area for our brewery. We’re excited by the fresh thought and a modus operandi which excites trade customers and consumers alike. We have every expectation that Phil will deliver this.”

Commercial director, Bob Hogg, stated:

“Phil’s impressive trade intelligence and willingness to challenge the industry status quo was at the core of the approach he demonstrated to us.  With Sunburst, Ossian and Lia Fail we believe we have the portfolio to turn that approach into strong growth for The Inveralmond Brewery.”

The announcements come hot off the back of recent appointment of industry stalwart Andy Agnew to the board, whose operational and commercial knowledge is expected to help position the brewery to capitalise on the multitude of opportunities presented by this exciting growth market.

Kilpatrick will be focussing on rolling out the Homecoming Scotland 2014 programme for beer. The Inveralmond Brewery are an official partner of the programme which encompasses events all over Scotland next year including, of course, the Ryder Cup and Commonwealth Games.
