AN award-winning Aberdeen-based media and communications firm has bolstered its ranks with a key management appointment.
Frasermedia has recruited former journalist, Craig Hamilton, as PR account manager, increasing the team to five members of staff.
Mr Hamilton, 29, is a film and media graduate who started his career in broadcast journalism, before moving into PR and communications.
He has extensive experience of radio journalism, having worked at stations including Radio Tay and Kingdom FM.
Following his journalism career, Craig worked for the Scottish Parliament, where he had responsibility for both generating and driving media campaigns.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining Frasermedia at a time when the firm is going from strength to strength and I look forward to working with an extremely talented team which has deservedly garnered a reputation as being amongst the top PR agencies in Scotland.”
Managing director of Frasermedia, Pauline Cook, launched the organisation following a successful career as a newspaper, radio and television journalist.
She said: “Craig is a fantastic addition to Frasermedia and his appointment brings a wealth of skills which will complement our already experienced team.
“His track record in radio journalism is excellent and he is also highly regarded for his exceptional work within the Scottish Parliament.
“Ultimately, Craig’s appointment is another significant benchmark for the business, which we intend to further develop as we move into 2014.”
Frasermedia, which was launched in 2007, delivers a number of media-based services in addition to PR, including emergency media response training and support, presentation skills training and corporate DVD production.
The firm won the Silver Award for Outstanding Small Consultancy at this years CIPR Scotland Awards.
