REARO, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of solid surface and laminated worktops, is to expand the role of one of senior staff with immediate effect.
Kevin Nicoll, who holds the position of UK trade counter sales manager, responsible for the performance of Rearo’s network of Trade counters across the country, will add the post of Surfstone Product Manager to his title.
The decision to increase Nicoll’s area of responsibilities comes about, as a result of the firm’s stated intention to more actively promote own brand products in the coming months.
SURFSTONE™ was launched in summer 2012, as a solution for aspirational consumers, planning to revitalise their kitchen but operating on a strict budget.
Manufactured from Rearo’s facility in Glasgow, SURFSTONE™ has been developed by the company to address the kitchen worktop market.
Commenting on Nicoll’s role enhancement, Rearo MD, Graham Mercer, notes: “We believe that Surfstone is a sumptuous yet practical alternative for those who seek a luxurious look but perhaps do not have the necessary funds to pay top-end prices.
“As such, we believe it presents us with an opportunity to make our mark within the sector; however, to do so, it warrants strategic development and promotion to the trade and that is where Kevin will come in.”
