Media Release: Denholm Associates to sponsor The Marketing Society’s Albion Dinners

DENHOLM Associates, a leading head-hunter and recruitment agency, is to sponsor The Marketing Society Scotland’s flagship networking series, The Albion Dinners.

The Albion Dinners, targeted at senior marketers and their guests, are held four times a year and feature prominent guest speakers who have put marketing at the heart of their business.

The 2014 series kicks off on January 30 with Dougal Sharp, founder and managing director of independent brewer Innis & Gunn as the guest speaker.

Other speakers confirmed for the series are David Dinsmore, editor of The Sun; Christian Arno, founder and managing director of UK translation company, Lingo24; and Will Whitehorn, former president of Virgin Galactic and the new chair of the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre Ltd.

Speakers tend to be non-marketers but recognise the central role marketing plays in business success. Senior members of The Marketing Society are also encouraged to invite non-marketing guests to promote the value of marketing in the boardroom.

The programme has been developed over the last five years in association with The BIG Partnership, with speakers ranging from Gareth Williams of Skyscanner to Peter Lawwell of Celtic FC.

John Denholm, managing director of Denholm Associates, said: “Our proposition is ‘better connected’ and we believe that it’s important for senior marketers to have influence across other key business functions.

“We’re delighted to sponsor the Marketing Society’s Albion Dinners where marketing professionals invite senior colleagues from other disciplines to hear from inspiring businesses which value marketing excellence as the basis for their success.”

Graeme Atha, director of the Marketing Society, said: “With Denholm’s track record in marketing recruitment, it’s great to have them on board as the sponsor of the dinners, which continue to go from strength to strength.

“We’re also delighted to have such a strong line-up of speakers for 2014 and hope to develop the programme in Aberdeen and Dundee later in the year.”
