Media Release: Aberdein Considine expands family law services with new partner appointment in Edinburgh

????????????????????????????????????????????

LEADING Scottish law firm, Aberdein Considine, has expanded its family law service with the appointment of a new partner at its Edinburgh office.

Naeema Sajid has taken up the role and will be primarily based at the firm’s Edinburgh legal office at Exchange Tower, allowing Aberdein Considine to provide family law services within the central belt for the first time.

With vast expertise in all key aspects of family law, Naeema was previously with Drummond Miller LLP for six years, three of which were at Partner level.

Naeema has also held roles at SEPA and the Procurator Fiscal service and is currently a director at Family Mediation Lothian, a third sector organisation that provides support to families and children who are experiencing difficulties relating to separation and divorce.

The firm has also made two key promotions within its established family law team in Aberdeen.

Isabelle Douglas has been made an Associate Partner and Leah Bowman a Senior Solicitor, with both being responsible for continuing to provide family law services across the north-east of Scotland.

Ruth Aberdein, partner and head of family law at Aberdein Considine, has heralded Naeema’s appointment as integral to consolidating the firm’s nationwide offering.

She said: “Naeema’s appointment is an excellent addition to our growing family law team and we’re delighted to now be in a position to provide these services across the central belt, building on the firm’s recent expansion into both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

“Naeema has considerable experience in all aspects of family law and I know that she will play an integral part in the future success of the firm as it continues to cement its position as a national, full service legal, property and financial practice.

“Similarly, I’m delighted with the promotion of both Isabelle and Leah. Their promotions are testament to the hard work and dedication that they have both consistently demonstrated while working with the firm.”

Naeema Sajid added: “Joining a firm with the stature of Aberdein Considine is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for myself. I’m looking forward to playing my role in the expansion of Aberdein Considine’s family law services throughout the Central Belt.

“It’s very much a fresh challenge and one that I relish embracing. The firm has a strong reputation within family law in the north-east and it’s my goal to enhance this further across Edinburgh, Glasgow and the surrounding area.”

Established in 1981, Aberdein Considine is a national law firm. A broadly-based practice, the firm offers corporate and private clients a complete legal, property and financial professional advisory service.
