AWARDS-winning Downhole Products recently welcomed Her Majesty’s Consul General in Houston to its growing headquarters at Portlethen, Aberdeenshire.
British Consul General, Andrew Millar, was welcomed by Ian Kirk of Downhole Products who hosted a tour of the leading casing accessory and completion tool company.
It recently announced that it is on track to recruit its 100th member of staff before the end of this year, and will double the size of its HQ when it expands into additional premises close to its current base.
Commenting on the visit, Ian Kirk said: “We were delighted to welcome Andrew Millar to our premises, and share with him how our business continues to thrive in a growing number of strategic locations throughout the world.
“Houston and the marketplaces it opens up to us are central to the ongoing success of our business and our presence on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as other locations, is important in ensuring we deliver high levels of services by ensuring we are always close to where our clients are operating.”
Andrew Millar added: “It was great to visit Aberdeenshire again and my visit to Downhole Products reinforced my view that the North East of Scotland is home to some of the finest engineering in the world.
“Ian Kirk and his team have developed world-leading products selling into a global marketplace, proof again that British engineering is the best in the world.”
