A LEADING Aberdeen-based accountancy firm has announced that it has helped raise almost £60,000 for Aberdeen Football Club in the last two-and-a-half years.
Fyfe Moir & Associates is based on the city’s Queen’s Road and is headed by life-long Aberdeen Football Club supporters, Alan Moir and Graham Fyfe.
In 2011, assisted by friends Fraser Crerar and Tom Petrie, they established Stand Free Youth Development which raises funds for AFC’s youth development programme.
The impressive total has been generated by regular fundraising events, including corporate dinners and a recent quiz night at Pittodrie Stadium which raised over £3,000 alone.
Alan Moir said: “We established Stand Free to help local football prosper and to ensure that local youngsters get as much support as possible in realising their dreams. We are delighted to announce this incredible total and thank all those involved in our fundraising efforts so far.”
A spokesperson for Aberdeen Football Club added: “We are very grateful to Alan Moir, Graham Fyfe and everyone else involved in raising this fantastic total. At Aberdeen Football Club, we are committed to investing in the next generation of footballers and this money is important in helping us to nurture the stars of the future.”
Fyfe Moir & Associates is based on Queens Road, Aberdeen and is headed by Alan Moir and Graham Fyfe. The company employs 13 staff and its portfolio includes clients throughout Scotland.
