Media Release: First Modern Apprenticeship in Digital Journalism launched

FORTH Valley College is the first further education establishment to offer the new Modern Apprenticeship programme in Digital Journalism in conjunction with the National Union of Journalists (NUJ).

This is the first MA programme with a focus on digital journalism and is being led at Forth Valley College by Martin Boyle, head of Creative Industries.

A reporter and a photographer (or film crew) are welcome to attend a launch event on Thursday 22 May which starts at 3pm at Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus (Drip Road, Stirling, FK81SE)

Those involved and available for interview and photographs include:

  • Martin Boyle, head of Creative Industries, Forth Valley College
  • Paul Holleran from the NUJ
  • David Martin from SDS
  • Various representatives from the Scottish media

Tours of the Creative Industry facilities at the Stirling Campus will also be available.

The event has been organised as part of a series of events being run by Forth Valley College during Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2014.
