CLYDE 1 – in association with intu Braehead – has added a further sprinkle of glitz and glamour to its dazzling Little Black Dress event, on Sunday 1 June, after announcing that pop sensation, Ashley Roberts, will be performing at the annual ladies-only lunch.

Former Pussycat Doll and I’m a Celebrity contestant, Ashley, will be entertaining guests with a host of scintillating tracks including her first ever solo single, ‘Clockwork’, which is released on 25 May.

The singer’s eagerly-awaited debut album, recorded at the world-famous Metropolis Studios, is due for release in late summer and the Little Black Dress event will be one of the first chances for fans to see Ashley perform some of her new hits live.

Hosted by Clyde 1 favourites, DJ Knoxy and Cassi, the exclusive event will take place at Glasgow’s stylish Grand Central Hotel and promises to be a fabulous occasion for Glasgow and the west.

With glasses of fizz on arrival, a delicious three course lunch, exclusive goody bags and a fantastic range of exhibitors, the lunch has all the ingredients for a perfect girl’s day out.

Following an afternoon of fun and indulgence for Glasgow’s lovely ladies, the day will continue with DJ’s, dancing and Ashley Roberts’ eagerly anticipated performance.

Guests will also be treated to a special set from singer, Jamie Johnson, who recently made it to the finals of hit TV show The Voice.

On performing at the Little Black Dress event, Dancing on Ice star, Ashley, said: “I’m sure I speak for most girls when I say that there’s nothing better than getting dressed up and enjoying a girly day out with your friends.

“That being said, the Little Black Dress event looks set to be a fabulous occasion and I’m really looking forward to joining in on the fun.

“Having just released my debut single ‘Clockwork’ in May of this year and with my solo album coming out this summer, 2014 is certainly an exciting year for me.

“I’m looking forward to sharing this excitement with my fans and I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to bring some of my new material to Glasgow this spring.”

Clyde 1’s DJ Knoxy said: “For the second year running, the glamorous ladies-only event, has proven to be highly popular with our female audience with only 100 tickets left for sale!

“The Little Black Dress lunch encapsulates all those things that women everywhere love from champagne to dancing to goody bags and entertainment. The day promises to be a fabulous day out for ladies across Glasgow and I urge you to get it in your calendar if you haven’t done so already.

“On top of all this, we’re lucky enough to be welcoming Ashley Roberts and Jamie Johnson to perform. We can’t wait to hear what material the two stars have been working on and think they’ll be a great success with our ladies.”

Tickets for the event are selling fast and anyone interested is being encouraged to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Tickets are £55 and can be booked by contacting the Radio Clyde reception on 0141 526 2200. Further details are available at www.clyde1.com.
