WESTHILL-based ThinJack Ltd – which is known for its unique service in separating seized well flanges – has announced a partnership with Yadco Petroleum Services to expand its provision of specialist services in Egypt.

The ThinJack service is primarily used for safe, fast and rigless separation of seized well flanges.

ThinJack is a steel envelope which can be inflated with up to 2,500 bar of hydraulic pressure to exert hundreds of tonnes of force, making it the ideal separating and jacking solution in hazardous, difficult or restricted areas.

ThinJack Ltd also offers a specialist consultancy service proactively identifying potential flange problems and providing solutions.

Commenting on the partnership, ThinJack Ltd director, Guy Bromby, said: “Yadco Petroleum Services is a world-class organisation with whom we have a strong relationship.

“They are highly respected in the Egyptian oil and gas industry. We look forward to building on our new partnership for the benefit of both organisations in a key market for our businesses.”

Mr. Mostafa Ghalwash, of Yadco Petroleum, added: “Yadco Petroleum Services was established in 1989 with the policy of introducing multi-national service companies, who possess and can offer new technologies, to the Egyptian oil industry.

“We see great synergy resulting from the partnership between Yadco and ThinJack Ltd, and are confident that this will deliver practical and financial benefits to the Egyptian oil industry.

“This technology, combined with the excellent management and commitment of ThinJack Ltd’s directors, will become a service sought after by all of the Egyptian oil and gas companies that have possible applications.

“We are delighted, and feel very fortunate, to be a part of this team and look forward to many years of fruitful service together to the Egyptian oil industry.”
