2013

Fashion competition first place wins £1,000 cash, a £1,000 sparkling diamond necklace from Tom Coll Jewellery and a personal shopping experience at Debenhams with £400 of vouchers to spend

THE glitz and glamour of Alea Casino Ladies’ Night returns to Hamilton Park this Saturday and the biggest crowd of the year will see the racecourse give away its biggest-ever Best Dressed Lady prize.

Sponsored for the first time by Alea Casino, the evening will feature a packed race card, live entertainment from Big Vern ‘N’ The Shootahs, topless barmen, a champagne lawn and more experiential, outdoor bars, with extra seating laid on for the bumper crowd.

As ever, the highlight of the night is the glitzy fashion competition for female race goers, who will all get a chance to show off their outfits on the catwalk and dazzle a judging panel which will include Hamilton Park chief executive, Vivien Kyles, and Alea director, Paul Rety.

The woman judged to be ‘Best Dressed Lady’ of the night will walk away with a £1,000 cash prize, a £1,000 sparkling diamond necklace from Tom Coll Jewellery and a personal shopping experience at Debenhams with £400 worth of vouchers to spend.

It is Hamilton Park’s biggest ever first prize for Ladies’ Night – there will be a number of runners-up prizes too – with the Best Dressed Lady competition open to all females in attendance.

Vivien Kyles, Hamilton Park chief executive, said: “The entire team at Hamilton Park are absolutely buzzing with anticipation for this year’s Ladies’ Night which, with the support of Alea Casino, is bigger and better than ever.

“There is so much going on across the night, on and off the track, however there’s no doubt that the Best Dressed Lady competition gets everyone talking, especially given the amazing first prize on offer this year.

“Year after year, we are wowed by the beautiful outfits and accessories on show and this Saturday will be no different, making the Best Dressed Lady one of the toughest calls I’ll make all season.

“No matter who wins everybody is in for another absolutely cracking evening and will no doubt dance the night away enjoying Big Vern ‘N’ The Shootahs as the party atmosphere continues.

“We’ve added a whole host of extras, such as covered bars on the lawn, a bigger catwalk and additional seats, to ensure everybody enjoys our most stylish and fun night of the summer.

The famous racenight, now backed by the most stylish casino in the West of Scotland, takes place this Saturday, August 2, and is the penultimate SuperSeal Super Six fixture of the season.

The Best Dressed Lady competition is open to all female race goers with registrations taking place at the catwalk from 5.30pm and the show itself starting at 6.55pm after the second race.

Thanks to the new sponsorship deal, there will also be an enhanced touch of glamour this year as stylish showgirls greet the crowd and hand out special offers and vouchers.

Nicola Mackenzie at Alea Casino, Scotland’s biggest gaming venue, said: “We are delighted to sponsor this year’s Ladies Night event at Hamilton Park Racecourse.

“The decision to do so was easy, given the obvious synergy between the shared customer base of the ladies attracted by the glitz of this event and the glamorous Vegas-inspired entertainment package we offer at Alea.”

As with all SuperSeal Super Six fixtures this season, the crowd will be encouraged to tweet a #SuperSealSelfie with the best picture on the night winning six tickets to Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell Racenight on Friday, August 22.

Tickets for the Alea Casino Ladies’ Night are priced £20 for adults and available to buy online at www.hamilton-park.co.uk, via telephone on 01698 283 806 or at the gates on the day. As at all Hamilton Park fixtures this season, all under-18s can enjoy completely free entry, with under-16s required to be accompanied by a paying adult.
