THE Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns launches its first ever farmers’ market with a feast of fun activities for all the family to enjoy from 11am – 4pm on Sunday 27 March.

The farmers’ market at The Avenue will feature a range of market stallholders offering a variety of produce including everything from Danish pastries, balsamic vinegars, smoked fish, oysters, langoustines, seasonal fruit and vegetables, breads, scones, meats and flavoured chilli sauces.

Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, said: “To help celebrate the launch of our first farmers’ market, we’ll have a range of free activities on hand to entertain visiting families.

“That means everything, from balloon modelling to face painting, caricaturists to magicians – so come along; you’re sure to have a fun family day out!”

The Avenue’s farmers’ market will take place in the car park at Marks & Spencer from 11am – 4pm on the fourth Sunday of every month.

The Avenue Shopping Centre offers shoppers an alternative to sprawling trolley-dash shopping culture with a comprehensive range of outlets offering a warm and welcoming shopping experience conveniently located on the outskirts of Glasgow city centre.
