Elevator Video Aims to Take Web Video to New Heights

Elevator Video Aims to Take Web Video to New Heights

A new company that aims to meet the growing demand for web video has been launched in Edinburgh.

Elevator Video has been formed by award-winning filmmaker Ben McNeill and Jim Morrison, former Deputy Editor at Central Television and Deputy Editor at the Evening News.

Based in Edinburgh, Elevator will utilise the latest in High Definition recording and editing technology to offer cost-effective marketing and promotional solutions.

It aims to upload short video packages on to its servers within 48 hours of filming, allowing clients to embed the finished product on their website quickly and easily.

It will also offer to produce extended web adverts and cover live events to enable clients to incorporate multiple elements on the same platform - from staff and customer interviews to product demonstrations.

Production Director, Ben McNeill said: “We all know how important the Elevator pitch is.  A high quality Elevator-produced video will help clients to deliver the perfect pitch every time to customers and clients who access their website.

“Web video is the next generation of online advertising for companies and organisations to showcase their products or services more effectively than text and stills alone.

“We offer everything from simple but professionally produced short videos, with a quick turnaround time, to longer and more complex web packages.”

Sales and Marketing Director, Jim Morrison said: “Independent research has shown an increasing demand for web video packages.

“The use of company web video has soared in the United States in recent years but in UK and Scotland it remains an emerging market.  We are confident that with the team and technology we have at our disposal we can help meet growing demand as more people latch on to the possibilities and advantages web video can offer.

“A video on a website grabs and holds the attention of visitors like no other medium. Independent research shows that visitors who are given the opportunity to view video will stay on a site for an average of two minutes longer and are 82.6 per cent more likely to buy.

“The website is now the primary vehicle for many companies to sell goods and services and it allows them to reach a potential audience of millions at a fraction of the cost of TV advertising.”
