Union Connect has been appointed by insurance group Paymentshield. The brief, which is both trade and consumer focused, will be rolled out over the following months, and will include a new website through Union Digital. Sandy McPherson, Head of Marketing at Paymentshield, said: "The Union's understanding of our market, coupled with their fresh creative thinking, made their appointment very easy for us." With its head office in Southport, Paymentshield is one of the UK's largest independent suppliers of mortgage related general insurance to the intermediary sector. It is part of the Towergate Partnership, Europe's largest independently owned insurance organisation, controlling more than £1.5bn of gross written premium. Kyle Hardie, Managing Director of Union Connect, said: "This win caps a great first year for us. We're seeing more and more clients interested in what sales promotion and field marketing can do for their business, as well as demonstrating the power of integrating our communications with advertising and online.
