Aberdeen-based AVC Media Enterprises was awarded the Overall Business Award in the smaller business category at The Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce Northern Star Business Awards last Thursday night (September 26, 2008). 

The Overall Business Award, sponsored by Capital Solutions was presented at a major ceremony at Aberdeen’s Exhibition and Conference Centre, with over 1000 guests in attendance.  This is a significant achievement for AVC and serves as recognition of the agency’s growth and successes over the past year.  Commending AVC’s overall business practice, the award focussed on several aspects including customer service excellence, CSR, staff development and retention, use of production innovation and ICT.

Hosted by TV presenter Kate Thornton, the spectacular event was the biggest in its five year history and was enjoyed by a wide range of local business representatives.  Entertainment included singer Jocelyn Brown, Welsh male voice choir, Only 4 Men Aloud as well as state of the art performers Feeding the Fish.

AVC’s Business Centre, on schedule for its October 13th opening and is currently taking bookings for its expanded meeting, conference, events and training facilities.
