One of the fast-growing pub chains in the UK has commissioned leading, Glasgow-based digital, brand development agency, Nation1, help it recruit over 100 managers and licensees.

London Town plc is embarking on an ambitious recruitment drive, both online and offline, and have taken on Nation1 to help find the right staff.

As of June 30 this year, the chain - which is headquartered in Norfolk - operated 266 pubs, including 60 bought at the end of last year.

Nation1 has also been asked by London Town to develop new branding, plus improve on its online sales and marketing. The agency - which employs 18 staff - beat off pitches from three London rivals to land the job.

Nation1 was founded by Andrew Grant in 2000, whose marketing career began by handing out flyers on the streets of Glasgow, on behalf of a pubs chain. Grant was born and brought up in Invergordon. He is aged 32 and is considered one of Scotland’s leading digital marketing experts.
 
It now boasts 18 staff, among them a digital director, copywriters, strategic marketing consultants, and designers.
 
Plans are in the pipeline to open a London office next year, followed by divisions in India and China - in 2010 and 2012, followed by a Stock Market flotation.
