Musselburgh Racecourse’s Ladies Day meeting on Saturday 7 June is on the brink of a sell out for the second successive year. 

With only 300 of 8200 tickets left, the East Lothian course have announced they will halt ticket sales tomorrow (Tues 13 May) at 5pm. 

The racecourse are urging race goers still to purchase tickets that they must book online (www.musselburgh-racecourse.co.uk) or call the ticket office on 0131 665 2859 by the cut-off time. 

The phenomenal success of Musselburgh’s annual Ladies Day event has continued to grow since the first event six years ago and this second sell out comes despite upping the crowd capacity from last year by 1000. 

Musselburgh Racecourse commercial manager, Claire Sheppard, said: “We’ve added an extra 1000 to the gate but it still is not enough to satisfy demand. While we are delighted at another record sell out we know many race goers will be left disappointed and we can only advise that if they have not secured a ticket by 5pm tomorrow then they will not be able to attend Ladies Day.”
