Three Sony nominations for BBC Radio Scotland

BBC Radio Scotland is in the running for three prizes, following the announcement last night of the shortlist for arguably the most prestigious UK-wide radio awards.

The station is also joined by Radio Clyde, Moray Firth Radio and XFM Scotland among the nominations for the Sony Awards.

The sports programming award sees both BBC Radio Scotland and Radio Clyde go head-to-head, while BBC Radio Scotland is nominated in the comedy awards section and the specialist music programme award.

Clyde 1 also gets a nomination in the entertainment category.

XFM Scotland’s Dominik Diamond gets a nomination in the music personality category.

Meanwhile, Moray Firth Radio is nominated in the category: ‘Station Of the Year – with a potential audience of under 300,000’.
