Boag on the Tyne all fine, all fine

A FORMER head of news at Saga Radio – and, before that, a sports editor at BBC Scotland – has been appointed head of news and sport at a radio station in Newcastle.

Gordon Boag has been appointed at Metro Radio.

He takes up his post on Tuesday at the EMAP-owned station, one of the first independent local radio stations to be set up, following Capital Radio and Radio Clyde in the early 1970s.

His office, in one of the city’s most distinctive buildings overlooking city’s the River Tyne.
