Naughtie appointed Stirling Chancellor

SCOTTISH-born broadcaster and journalist, James Naughtie, has been appointed the next chancellor of Stirling University; he will succeed current incumbent, actress Dame Diana Rigg, when her term of office ends in the summer.

Naughtie, one of the main presenters of Radio 4’s Today programme, began his career with the Press and Journal newspaper, as a graduate trainee, and then moved to The Scotsman’s political team in Westminster before joining the BBC.
