Comms Agency Adds Parliament Expertise to Roster

The Edinburgh office of a global communications company has added expertise of the Scottish Parliament to its personnel roster.

Nick Waugh joins Fleishman-Hillard from the charity, Age Scotland, where he has been senior policy and parliamentary officer.

He has a BA degree (Hons) in media and cultural studies from Queen Margaret University and a MSC degree in politics and sociology from the University of Edinburgh. At Age Scotland, he was an account manager.

Says Elaine McKean, associate director at Fleishman-Hillard Edinburgh: “Nick brings extensive public affairs experience to the team and joins at an interesting time. The General Election, with the subsequent coalition deal and the Calman Report, combined with the preparations for the Scottish Parliament elections in 2011 all suggest we are entering a fascinating period in Scottish politics.

“Nick’s experience will further complement our skills as we look to support and deliver for our clients and continue to drive business forward.”
