Weber Shandwick named Outstanding Agency at Scots PR awards

WEBER Shandwick has been named the outstanding PR agency of the year at awards celebrating the best of public relations in Scotland.

At the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in Scotland Awards, as well as taking the Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy title, Weber Shandwick also took a further eight prizes.

Meanwhile, the awards for the best outstanding in-house public relations team and Scottish public sector team of the year both went to Scottish Enterprise.

And Wave PR was named the best small consultancy for the fourth year running.

Taking the Young Communicator title was Laura Berry, of Holyrood Partnership.

Said Caroline Binnie, chair of CIPR in Scotland: “[These awards are] the pinnacle of the PR year and showcases the strength, professionalism and diversity of the industry in Scotland. Credibility, professional development and networking are at the heart of what CIPR has to offer its members, alongside setting the highest possible standards for the profession and [these] winners exemplify that standard. Congratulations to them all.”

Over 310 guests assembled at the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow for the ceremony. Some 131 entries across 25 categories were received.
