Scottish Government head of PR and Marketing stepping down

THE head of PR and marketing at the Scottish Government is stepping down.

Roger Williams is taking a voluntary exit package offered by the Scottish Government.

As reported by The Drum media and marketing magazine, Williams, who has headed up the Scottish Government’s marketing and digital team for 14 years, has also spent time working within the Department of Trade and Industry before going onto join Chevron, followed by the Clydesdale Bank.

Said a Scottish Government spokesperson of the package: “These opportunities are being offered across the organisation to help meet the financial challenges ahead.”

It is understood Williams’ role is to be discontinued in its current format.
