British Red Cross comms posting for Thomson

A FORMER head of communications at the Equality and Human Rights Commission Scotland has taken up a similar posting at the British Red Cross.

Alyson Thomson has been appointed to the new role of head of territory communications, covering Scotland, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man.

The team includes former Daily Record assistant news editor, Derek Masterton, who is a media officer.

Thomson told allmediascotland.com: “I am delighted to work for an organisation as innovative and important as the British Red Cross, with a new awareness-raising campaign starting this week and a focus on providing vital UK services across health and social care, emergency response and for refugees and asylum seekers its an interesting role at an exciting time.”
