Weber Shandwick and Scottish Enterprise lead shortlist for Scots PR awards

THE Scottish office of the global PR agency, Weber Shandwick, is among the lead contenders at awards celebrating the best of the Scots public relations.

The tenth anniversary of the PRide awards, run by the Scottish division of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, and of the 42  shortlisted candidates, Weber Shandwick is shortlisted in nine of the 20 categories.

They are quickly followed by the enterprise agency, Scottish Enterprise, who are shortlisted in eight.

This year’s award ceremony is in Glasgow on October 24.

Says Laura Sutherland, CIPR Scotland chair: “The CIPR Scotland PRide Awards celebrate the very best in public relations from across the country. This year’s entries were all of an incredibly high standard, highlighting the industry leading work that is taking place right here in Scotland, despite the impact of the economy in recent times. I would like to congratulate all of those who have been shortlisted for an award; their success demonstrates their exemplary achievements in such a thriving profession, and recognises the impact they have made in their organisation and on behalf of clients.”
