Movie sequel being produced by Scot

A SEQUEL to 28 Days Later – a movie about a ‘rage virus’ sweeping across Britain – has begun principal photography, under the watchful eye of a Scottish producer.

28 Weeks Later – starring, among others, Scots actor, Robert Carlyle – is being produced by Andrew Macdonald, in association with Allon Reich and Enrique Lopez-Lavigne.

It is being directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, with Danny Boyle and Alex Garland as executive producers.

The sequel begins with the all-clear signal being given, only for it to be far from all-clear.
