New look for venerable title

THE magazine of the Church of Scotland is this month slightly changing its name, as part of what it describes as a “radical new look for readers”.

The 128 year-old Life & Work is getting rid of its ampersand, so it’s now Life and Work – the ampersand having been used for the last ten years and more.

The magazine does, however, describe the name change as a “salute to its past” – the use of the word, ‘and’, having been part of the original magazine.
