AHEAD of the BBC announcing what it considers to be the best ‘world movie’ of 2006, a Scottish cinema is screening all six shortlisted titles.
The movies – Volver, Hidden, The Death of Mr Lazarescu, The Beat That My Heart Skipped, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance and The Child – are being shown by the Edinburgh Filmhouse.
The winner of the BBC World Cinema Award is being announced, live on BBC4, on the 25th.
