Police call beckons for Post reporter

A SENIOR reporter at the Sunday Post is to become a police media officer.

After six years at the Post, Jackie Bytheway is to join the Central Scotland Police, at its Stirling HQ. As well as reporting for the Post, she works there as a sub-editor, on production nights. She takes up her new job in a fortnight’s time.

One of her recent credits includes reporting from within Scotland’s Muslim community in the wake of the Kris Donald murder trial.

On a lighter note, she was the only Scottish journalists to be admitted into the BBC TV music talent show, Fame Academy, to interview the two Scots contestants, Ainslie Henderson, and David Sneddon – the eventual winner.

Prior to the Post, she spent just over a year at The Falkirk Herald. Before that, she was part of the launch team at Wee County News, in Alloa.
