THE National Union of Journalists is seeking assurances about job security at eight Scottish newspapers conditionally purchased by the owners of The Scotsman.
It follows the hoped-for purchase of newspaper publisher, Archant’s Scottish operation by Johnston Press.
The sale has yet to be concluded because it is conditional on a favourable judgement by the competition regulatory authorities.
