Duncan continues fact-finding tour with three staff briefings scheduled for this week

TODAY, Glasgow; Wednesday, Edinburgh – the new head of news and current affairs at BBC Scotland continues his fact-finding tour of his new domain, with three staff briefing meetings scheduled for this week, the third taking place in London, when Atholl Duncan, meets the reporting team at Westminster.

A trip last week to Aberdeen, soon followed by another to Inverness, had him concluding that getting pictures back to Glasgow, from the Highlands and Islands, is not working as well as it might – and he has ordered a review of the technology necessary to save TV tapes having to be “carried up the stairs at [BBC Scotland’s imminent new home of] Pacific Quay”.
