Radio station to be re-branded

THE new owners of the Saga radio stations – one based in Glasgow – has announced plans to rebrand them.

From March, GMG’ Radio’s Saga stations will become Smooth Radio, the name of stations it already operates – one in London, the other in the north-west of England. The suffix, ‘fm’, is being dropped from Smooth, in addition.

Last month, GMG announced that it had agreed to purchase the Saga radio stations for an undisclosed sum, but the acquisition is only being formally completed this week.
