Dundee station expected to change hands

A DUNDEE-based radio station is set to change hands, with the former managing director of Radio Forth the expected new owner.

The owners of wave102 are understood to have agreed a cash purchase by Adam Findlay’s new radio group, which was established earlier this year with backing from SMG chair, Richard Findlay – his father.

The official handover is currently scheduled to take place a week on Sunday, leaving present owners, UTV, with just one station north of the border: Edinburgh outpost, talk107.

Staff at wave102 are said to be welcoming the move, which comes over six months after its Paisley-based sister station, Q102, was sold to GMG Radio, and then converted into Rock Radio.
