TWO Scottish advertising agencies have been shortlisted in a competition recognising the best in health care advertising.
Guy Robertson Partnership and Barkers Scotland join the 32 agencies behind the 132 shortlisted entries in the Best of Health Awards, being run by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
Across 29 categories – including press, poster, direct, new media and international – there were a total of 250 entries from 44 agencies, including from Germany, Spain, the USA and Australia.
The winners will be announced on the fourth of next month.
Says Dean Woolley, chair of the judging panel and founder of Woolley Pau: “For me, what makes the Best of Health Awards so coveted is that they are about absolute standards rather than competition.
“We don’t hand out prizes on the basis of who’s first, second and third in any category, so work can’t win just by virtue of being the best of a bad bunch.
“Instead, we have looked at each entry on its own merits to decide whether it is strong enough to deserve recognition as among the best creative work ever done in healthcare. Anyone collecting a Best of Health bronze, silver or gold can be justifiably proud of the achievement.”
