Scots trio in PR awards triumph

FROM an awards ceremony celebrating the best of the UK’s public relations, three prizes went to Scotland, one of which was for a PR campaign that involved honouring the memory of the wife of one of the participants.

At the ceremony, hosted by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Aberdeen-based Tricker PR joined Glasgow’s 3×1 and Edinburgh’s Pagoda PR among the Scottish victors.

Tricker took first prize in the Use of Photography, Design and New Media category, for its gift catalogue for the children’s charity, World Vision. It was also highly commended in the Charity or Non-Profit Campaign category, for World Vision ‘Big Month’.

3×1’s win was in the Consumer Campaign category, for Highland Spring’s Running for Breast Cancer Care.

As part of the campaign, 3×1 director, Cameron Grant, ran the New York marathon, alongside GMTV presenter, Lorraine Kelly, and Martin Bain, chief executive of Rangers Football Club.
