Fairclough likely to be hoping for fair-sized audience

THE recently-appointed head of the Scottish Newspaper Publishers Association speaks today at a gathering of newspaper senior editorial and IT managers.

Simon Fairclough’s presentation – biennial Newstec – taking place in Brighton – is titled, ‘Keeping Politics Out of Public Information Campaigning – A Scottish Weekly Press Case Study’.

‘A Year of Change at The Telegraph’ may also attract attention.

A panel discussion, this afternoon, on ‘The Future of News Delivery’ also features Fairclough – who is also the head of the Scottish Print Employers Federation – and Tim Bowdler, chief executive of The Scotsman owners, Johnston Press.
