Also, its editions were renamed: Great news edition, Great news extra and Great night special – instead of the usual, ‘Late news’, etc.
And thanks to eagle-eyed allmediascotland.com readers who spotted that a huge pic of Scotland’s travelling support, appearing on page three of yesterday’s Scottish Daily Mail, prominently included The Scottish Sun’s promotional red double-decker bus.
Except that all the identifying features, except a flash of red, was covered over by banners for a Tartan Army magazine.
P.S. What do former chief reporters of The Herald do on a Wednesday evening? Well, Iain Wilson – now working in PR, for First ScotRail – was spotted at 6pm at Queen Street rail station in Glasgow, overseeing a customer feedback session.
Hopefully, the ‘come, talk to us’ invite didn’t attract too many commuters, so that he could catch the Scotland match on the telly.
