‘Public service broadcasting’ debate coming to Scotland

STUART Cosgrove, Channel 4’s director of nations and regions, plus the Scotland editor of The Times, Magnus Linklater, are among the speakers at a conference on the future of ‘public service broadcasting’ – taking place in Edinburgh.

The event is taking place a fortnight on Monday and is being run by broadcasting regulators, Ofcom.

Demand for tickets is expected to be high, given the cast list and the subject matter.

Also speaking is Blair Jenkins, head of a commission looking at Scottish Broadcasting, which was set up by the First Minister, Alex Salmond, in August.
